Once Upon A Sketch {September 1st challenge}

Hiya! Just wanted to share the layout I created using the September 1st sketch at Once Upon A Sketch. I'm so glad I was able to participate this month as I missed the last couple of challenges.  Things have just been so busy that I actually haven't had a chance to work on many scrapbook layouts. I have to admit that I really missed it! The page didn't come out as I planned, but I'm still happy that I was able to play along :)

Once Upon a Sketch {July 15th Challenge}

Heya again! So my computer seems to be functioning okay at the moment (knock on wood) so I thought I'd try and post about my latest layout using OUAS July 15th sketch.  Their sketches are just wonderful and I'm having so much fun playing along with their challenges.  Please do check them out, you won't be disappointed. Everyone's entries are just beautiful and I love to see how each person interprets the sketch to make it suit them.

The photos are of my niece Savannah, she's such a cutie! I am definately blessed with the most adorable nieces!

The papers, title, and embellishments are all by My Mind's Eye.  The lace trim is by Recollections.  I stamped and embossed the flourishes and polka dot border.

Once Upon A Sketch {July 1st Challenge}

Hiya!  It's time for the OUAS challenge for July 1st.  I've been having such an absolutely fantastic time with their sketches.  I've even been killing two birds with one stone (for lack of a better saying) by being able to participate in the challenge, and using the sketches as inspiration and start of points for the heritage album I'm working on.  Here's the page I created with this week's sketch.  I hope you like it!

Once Upon a Sketch {June 15th Challenge}

Hey there!  Here's a 12x12 layout I created recently.  I just love these pictures of my little furbaby as you can tell, since I just used it on a previous layout.  Do you reuse the same photos on different layouts (this was the first time I ever did)?  This layout was inspired by the June 15 sketch on http://www.onceuponasketchblog.blogspot.com/.  I've only just discovered their blog and I'm totally loving their sketches.  I haven't participated in any of the previous challenges but was inspired by this sketch that I thought I'd give it a try.

Here is my interpretation of their sketch.  The papers and embellishments are by Echo Park and My Mind's Eye.  The title is everyone's fave, Thickers by American Crafts.  I also used Glossy Accents, Stickles, Distress Ink, Stamp, Embossing Powder, and Smooch Spritz to accent the page.
