So, I recently joined a tag swap hosted by Bona on her blog keeponscrappin.
It's been ages since I participated in a swap and jumped at the chance at participating in this one as I've never done a mixed media tag swap before. I was lucky too, I took the last open slot :)
I didn't have anything planned for the tags except that I wanted to add some molding/modeling paste since that was an optional challenge. So I gathered up some of my favorite paint and ink spray colors and just started playing.
Here are the tags I created:
Lol, my mother said that it looked like I tied rags to my tags :p
I guess essentially that's what they could have been if I hadn't intentionally
inked them up for this project.
The completed tags, packed and ready to go :)

Giveaway
I mentioned in yesterday's post that I was going to have another small giveaway.
I had such a blast creating these tags that I decided that I wanted to spread the fun to someone else. So, I created a mini kit with some of the supplies I used to create these tags. The winner also gets one of the tags I created because I was having too much fun that I lost count when I was making them and ended up with one too many :)
Here's what's in the kit:
(1) Mixed Media Tag by me :)
(5) Vintage Spanish Dictionary pages
(5) Tags *diecut from watercolor paper*
(1) Mini square sequin waste
(1) Circle sequin waste
(1) Tiny container of Molding Paste
(1) Tiny container of Glass Bead Gel
(1) Sharpie Pen
(1) Palette knife
(1) Mini Bag of irridescent flakes
(1) Mini Bag paper flowers
(1) Tiny bottle of crystal fine glitter
(3) Paper Doilies, 1 ea. of 3 sizes
(1) Piece of muslin fabric
(1) Piece of muslin fabric
There you have it! All you'll need are your favorite coloring medias (paint, ink sprays etc.), adhesives/gel mediums, and time to just PLAY!
*Just leave a comment on this post or in the comments section of the mixed media tags video on Youtube for your chance to win.
*You can leave a comment on both to double your chances :)
*I'll leave the giveaway open for a month
I have another video I'm currently editing of a journal page using the same techniques and materials that I used to make these tags. Stay tuned...
Go and create something, take care!!
